To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Professional or Senior Software Developer m/f/d Kotlin.
In this role, you will develop end-to-end, within an agile team, our complex, inhouse software solutions (backend-based web applications) for managing, providing, and processing the purchasing and sales conditions (including pricing, delivery times, availability, etc.) of our products, which are sold in our webshops in 12 countries. You will further develop and design our core system with Kotlin in Spring Boot and work in the team, following the “You build it, you run it” principle, so that the environment remains maintainable, available, and scalable, and can be deployed as automatically as possible (in the AWS Cloud) using GitLab. AI is becoming increasingly important for us, so you will consciously use Claude Code and continue to expand its everyday use. And because you should stay on top of things, there’s the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people at professional conferences.

Your Profile
- You have a successfully completed apprenticeship in software development or a Bachelor degree in computer science / business informatics
- You already have solid professional experience in software backend development as well as with relational databases and SQL and/or ideally even with NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- You have several years of professional experience programming in Kotlin or you have several years of professional experience programming in Java and relevant personal experience in Kotlin programming, along with a strong desire to dive deep into Kotlin to build your expertise
- You are familiar with clean code principles and value good architecture and excellent code quality
- Your agile mindset and openness to methods like continuous integration and shared responsibility for the code set you apart
- You are a communicative team player, have experience dealing with stakeholders, and have the ability to lead discussions and arguments confidently
- Ideally, you already have experience in a DevOps setup, for example with Docker, GitLab, or cloud solutions (preferably AWS, Kubernetes), or frontend development with Vue.js
- You speak fluent English (the team language is English); German skills are nice to have
