Risk Engineer Power Plants

- Conduct Risk Engineering Surveys for the Power Sector (erection, commissioning and operation)
- Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective risk management procedures at client level
- Develop and implement HRC Standards, Guidelines, and Risk Engineering tools
- Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines
- Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters
- Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC Risk Engineering guidelines
- Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims
- Attend client presentations
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the Power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry
- Appropriate formal Engineering Qualifications (MSc. or PhD.) preferrably mechanical or electrical engineering
- Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards
- Good knowledge or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage
- International experience or working with different culture is preferred
- General curisosity for articical intelligence
- Highly motivated personnel with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as Team Player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- English (min. level C1), further foreign language skills desirable
