About this Position As a Perfumer (d/f/m) in our Krefeld site, you will create and develop innovative fragrance solutions for functional applications.

You will work at the intersection of creativity, science, and consumer insight, contributing to high-performing products in laundry, home care, and hair care categories.

What You´ll Do

  • Creation of new fragrances in functional perfumery, using latest developments in aroma chemicals and fragrance delivery technologies, with a focus on laundry, home and hair care applications
  • Reformulation and portfolio management of existing fragrances in line with evolving safety, regulatory and sustainability requirements
  • Active problem solving and troubleshooting across fragrance and aroma chemical portfolios, including raw material shortages, force majeure situations and quality issues
  • Close collaboration with fragrance research, product development, marketing, supply chain, purchasing and external fragrance partners
  • Drive fragrance innovation by identifying emerging technologies, market trends and new olfactive opportunities
  • Evaluate fragrance performance through sensory assessments, consumer tests and technical validation studies
  • Contribute to global innovation programs and support the development of strategic fragrance capabilities across business units

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Perfumery, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fragrance creation, fragrance development or functional perfumery, preferably within consumer goods industries
  • Strong knowledge of fragrance ingredients, formulation technologies and global fragrance regulations
  • Proven ability to translate consumer insights and market trends into competitive fragrance solutions
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills in a cross-functional and international environment
  • Fluent English skills
