What You'll Do

Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports, and other analyses as needed to plan engineering builds

Collaborate with suppliers during design meetings to monitor designed components, evaluate their complexity, and ensure supply chain considerations are addressed early

Act as the primary interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues, and resolution

Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (procurement, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.)

Drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure Tesla receives the best possible pricing and leverage cost models and analysis of current market conditions

Monitor current market conditions and technology roadmaps to proactively identify and address any supply challenges and to determine future business opportunities

Document component cost and work with Finance to track BOM cost in different program phases

What You'll Bring

At least 2 years’ experience in material sourcing, manufacturing, finance, or supply chain management

Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar discipline

Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning ( MRP/ERP) with a solid understanding of discrete prototype manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes and supply chain operations

Proven experience in the management of high volume engineering builds

Demonstrated understanding of product release cycle as it relates to the creation and change management of parts and BOM structures

Ability to prioritize with a high sense of urgency, adapt to a fast-paced/dynamic environment, and act as a self-starter with strong attention to detail and ownership

Business level fluency in English, German language skills are a plus
