TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) is seeking an Contract Technical Lead to oversee onsite testing, deployment, and launch activities for innovative robotic automation systems within large-scale fulfillment and industrial environments.

What You'll Do
As the onsite Technical Lead, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring successful deployment and testing activities while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate onsite technical operations throughout deployment and launch phases
Manage and support field engineering resources performing testing and validation activities
Drive execution of weekly testing plans, reporting, and launch readiness activities
Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and system-level issues, ensuring timely escalation when required
Coordinate firmware updates, hardware modifications, and preventative maintenance activities
Prepare and deploy new software images and feature releases
Partner with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges
Identify process improvement opportunities and promote operational best practices
Support training initiatives and help close gaps in technical documentation and procedures
Ensure all activities align with project milestones, service level expectations, and launch requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field
- Strong in leading operations, deployment, implementation, or product launch activities
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Previous work with hardware and firmware deployment processes
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Previous working with autonomous systems, robotics, automation, or complex technical equipment
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Professional fluency in German and strong English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked within industrial automation, manufacturing, automotive, construction, or engineering environments
- Previous work leading technical teams or coordinating field operations
- Strong systems engineering
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Demonstrated success in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines
