The business unit is responsible for the full value chain of wind farm projects across these regions, including Sales, Project Execution, Installation, and Service.

Responsibilities:

Customs within Vestas Northern and Central Europe (NCE) has the overall responsibility for ensuring a well functioning import and export setup that supports business operations across the NCE region at the lowest possible total cost, while fully complying with internal policies and external customs laws and regulations.

The role covers both strategic and operational customs activities and includes close collaboration with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, and external authorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Addressing and supporting customs related topics in connection with new market entries and project setups
  • Supporting, coordinating, and monitoring the customs broker operations across the NCE region
  • Assisting Sales Business Units with customs related due diligence calculations and assessments
  • Participating in the development of customs concepts, standards, and processes across regions with the objective of reducing overall operating costs
  • Handling operational customs activities and day to day customs matters within the NCE region
  • Preparing and supporting customs audits, including documentation and follow up actions
  • Ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are proactively informed about customs matters and regulatory changes with potential compliance, cost, or operational impact

Qualifications:

  • Experience from a customs compliance or customs operations function in an international business environment
  • Hands on experience working with or within a Customs Broker organization, including coordination and oversight activities
  • Formal training or education in Customs Compliance, International Trade, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of international trade terminology and customs procedures
  • Familiarity with import and export processes, customs documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders across functions and regions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German is considered an advantage

  • Ability to navigate, communicate, and collaborate effectively with customs authorities as well as with diverse internal stakeholders across functions and regions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex customs topics in a clear and structured manner
  • Capability to analyze, document, and outline processes, and to propose practical and sustainable implementation strategies
  • A structured and solution oriented mindset, enabling effective handling of complex customs topics in a dynamic business environment
