Tasks and Qualifications:
Your responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the KION GenAI Platform and its strategic roadmap, including budget planning.

Ensure a scalable, secure and cost‑efficient service operation using cloud‑native services.

Lead delivery of GenAI use cases from requirements gathering and service provisioning to implementation support and operation.

Ensure reliable platform operations, monitor performance and maintain Service Level Agreement compliance.

Drive continuous improvement of development, deployment and monitoring processes (DevOps / LLMOps / AgentOps).

Ensure secure operation of GenAI services (access control, logging, monitoring and incident management).

Implement and support global KION AI use cases in collaboration with business stakeholders.

Lead, coach and support the professional development of the global team of AI Engineers and platform experts.
What we are looking for:

Master’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering
-
Proven experience (7+ years) in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI-related architecture/technology projects, preferably within a large enterprise environment

Profound understanding of current AI technologies (ML models, LLMs, vector databases, RAG methods, modern frameworks)

Experience in IT governance, product management, or AI-related application ownership

Strong understanding of AI/GenAI lifecycle, enterprise software processes, and governance best practices

Knowledge about AI project management, delivery, or technological evaluation as well as agile methodologies and DevOps practices
-
Experience in creating solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
-
Structured, independent, and analytical way of working, as well as a high willingness to learn
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
-
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges
-
Experience in managing and mentoring technical teams
-
Very good knowledge of English, German is a plus.
