Head of International Category Management (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Head of International Category Management (f/m/d) to join our E.ON SE team as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the E.ON-wide steering of the strategic and operational sourcing activities for the international Indirect Spend categories Professional Services, External Workforce and HR Services for all E.ON entities with respective demand
• Manage a team of experienced International Category Managers group-wide, taking full responsibility for their strategic and operational sourcing activities related to these international spend categories
• Take full responsibility and accountability for the E.ON-wide spend forecasting, definition of value creation and saving potentials and targets, as well as target achievement against various KPI
• Act as Supply Chain’s interface to the respective category stakeholders / take leadership for the joint target setting and decision-making process
• Promote and drive cross-functional and cross-border cooperation in the definition and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives incl. savings/value delivery
• Leadership, steering and management of the supplier relation within tenders and negotiations as well as in pre-tender discussions, onboarding processes and claim management
• Promote and facilitate continuous skill development within the team as well as actively contribute to best practice sharing between the different Supply Chain divisions and business areas

Your profile

• Several years of managerial experience in cross-business field general management roles and/or Supply Chain
• Extensive skills in Supply Chain strategies and analysis methodologies and/or operational management experience in steering demand planning, supplier delivery and project execution surveyance in demand carrying organizations
• Relevant university degree, a MBA or similar is a clear plus
• Proven stakeholder management skills as well as comprehensive know-how in complex and stakeholder management intense roles with Board level interfaces (E.ON units and suppliers)
• Significant negotiation experience, preferably in an international environment
• Ability to understand demand carrier needs, grasp quickly fundamental economic drivers and key risks along the whole supply chain and help to transfer them into relevant commercial strategies
• Change management competence and a highly analytical work approach
• International experience and intercultural skills combined with fluency in both, German and English
