Head of Mechanical Design

* Leading and developing the Mechanical Design Team
* Management of external and internal resources, including ensuring adherence to deadlines
* Oversight of ongoing projects, support, and approval, including designs, calculations, layouts, and documentation
* Ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
* Continuous improvement of processes, tools, and methods
* Strengthening cost competitiveness through design-to-cost strategies and standardization
* Collaboration with other departments
Profile description:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with a focus on mechanical design and/or plant engineering or process engineering
* At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the field of furnace technology/heat treatment
* Leadership skills, technical expertise, and intercultural competence
* Proficiency in working with 2D and 3D CAD systems as well as PDM systems
* Excellent German and English language skills
* Occasional travel (worldwide)
