We are seeking a Junior Data Scientist as part of our Data Science - Generative AI team to build production-ready applications. Our team develops practical machine learning models to enable innovative and customer-facing product features. In This Role, You Will

• Collaborate on cutting-edge data science projects end-to-end: from data exploration to applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and their deployment on our machine learning platform
• Directly impact the client and customer support experience of our N26 products
• Work in an agile way and with experienced data scientists, machine learning engineers and product managers to deliver customer value and develop your skill-set further
• Experiment with state-of-the-art technology, prompt engineering and project ideas around generative AI.
  
  

Background

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally with a focus on quantitative disciplines including mathematics, statistics or computer science
• Professional experience in the prototyping, development and productionizing of machine learning solutions will be strongly preferred
• Professional experience with artificial intelligence and/or natural language processing, including large language models, will be strongly preferred
  
  

Skills

• Good understanding of common machine learning algorithms
• Programming skills in Python and SQL querying. You are able to write production-ready code.
• Experience and curiosity of working with large language models and prompt engineering
• You are creative, organised, self-motivated and willing to work in a diverse, agile team to participate in ambitious data science projects from conception through coding to deployment
• Continuously learn and challenge the status quo: You are proactive in carrying out simple applied research around the latest advances in generative AI and machine learning
• You give and receive open, direct and timely feedback
• Language skills: English full professional proficiency; Proficient knowledge of German, French, Italian or Spanish will be appreciated
