The Data Systems Lab at TU Nuremberg invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in the area of foundation models for data compression. This position is offered in collaboration with the Machine Learning Lab led by Professor Josif Grabocka and focuses on systems-oriented research at the intersection of databases and machine learning.

Requirements

– A strong academic background in computer science, data science, machine learning, information systems, electrical engineering, or a closely related field

– Demonstrated interest in systems-oriented research

– Motivation to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research team

– Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
