Job Responsibilities

  • Coordination of site supervisors within Germany, if necessary also abroad.
  • Monitoring and, if necessary, arranging appointments between subcontractors, site supervisors and clients, obtaining work permits and access to construction sites.
  • Monitor subcontractors and site supervisors to ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations.
  • Respond to subcontractor and client questions regarding drawings, schedules, and other relevant electrical heat tracing documents as required.
  • Inspect and test heat tracing systems to ensure installation meets Chemelex standards, customer specifications and norms.
  • Provide product and installation training to subcontractor and customer personnel to perform installations in accordance with Chemelex instructions.
  • Monitor actual project progress against the originally agreed schedule, in consultation with the Project Manager, initiate corrective action where necessary to ensure deadlines are met to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Liaise with customer representatives on behalf of Chemelex to ensure issues and problems are resolved quickly.
  • Participate in development and improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for the calibration of tools / equipment of our own employees (e.g. in relation to SCC**)
  • Regular participation in ASA meetings (occupational safety meetings)
  • Installation of Chemelex materials on small projects when required
  • Maintain the competence matrix of subcontractors and own employees
  • Regular reporting to the respective project manager

Requirements

  • At least Certified Electrician, Master Electrician preferred (industrial/commercial)
  • Proven experience on construction sites, including supervision of employees and sub-contractors
  • In-depth knowledge of all health and safety laws and obligations associated with construction sites.
  • Dedicated and motivated, meticulous and a good communicator, both written and verbal.
  • You should act as an “ambassador” for Chemelex when dealing with customers
  • Driver's license
  • Very good German and good English skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Willingness to travel (domestically and possibly abroad)

Good To Have

  • Experience in project execution (preferably oil, gas or petrochemical industry)
  • Knowledge of heat tracing applications
