What You Will Be Doing
Controlling for BU FCS Globally
Who we are looking for
Advanced University degree in Finance. Additional Master / CPA / Legal degree is a plus.
Vocational Education
Familiar with the local tax system and statutory reporting requirements. Experience with IFRS a plus.
Experience with budgeting processes, legal and IS matters as well as bank relationships
Familiar with the implementation / application of internal control systems
Stress resilience, ability to travel, interested in international assignment
High proficiency in English
Experience
+10 years of work experience in a multi-cultural international organization.
Demonstrated analytic, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; capable of addressing the requirements of a diverse group of internal customers and stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing
Controlling for BU FCS Globally
- The function drives for business results of FCS globally through close business partnership and provides business solutions.
- The function works closely with the SVP FCS to identify, assess and value business development opportunities and strategies to grow the Fuel Cell and Stationary business
- It secures proper budgeting, forecasting and reporting to drive performance.
- The functions secures proper financial accounting and closing under C-GAAP and under UFRS
- It ensures globally full compliance for FCS related taxation (Corporate income, VAT) and actively participates in tax transfer pricing documentation and compliance analysis.
- It ensures globally compliance and internal control (MICR) for FC/SECC
- Develop, direct and evaluate the organization ’ s financial performance.
- Act as an advocate for direct reports within Umicore. Establish organizational structure, create individualized professional development programs, policies, and procedures. Motivate direct and indirect reports, challenging them achieve greater results while maintaining healthy and balanced lives
- Lead succession planning in collaboration within the company, establishing plans for the next generation of staff. Performing gap analysis with HR and preparing staff to grow into future leaders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with associations, industry, and government officials that are in the best interest of Umicore.
- The function monitors financial and procurement IT systems and ensures they are updated and maintained by IT.
- It supports the local role out of the global FCS-IT strategy as per actual IBP.
- It continues to optimize process via IT solution /digitalization. Document clear use cases and the benefits.
