Position: Engineer for Physical Analyses of Semiconductor Electronics Components

Tasks

• Physical laboratory analysis of semiconductor electronics components with regard to error patterns incl. documentation, reporting and customer communication;
• Supporting development and quality assurance through analyses;
• Planning, coordination and implementation of complex physical analyses and preparations on electronic components;
• Process and yield analyses for development, quality assurance and production;
• Use of sophisticated analytics (e.g. ultrasound microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, EDX, metallography, infrared microscopy) for localising and mapping weak points in electronic components;
• Development of failure hypotheses and analysis strategies for fault localisation;
• Documentation of analysis results and communication to the customer;
• Evaluation of new samples of components from development and production
  
  

Requirements

• Completed Master's degree in physics, microsystems technology, materials science, electrical engineering (semiconductor technology) or similar;
• Good knowledge and experience in the field of physical analysis of electronic components;
• Previous knowledge in the field of analytical methods such as light microscopy, X-ray, IR microscopy, SAM, REM, EDX and electrical measurement technology desirable;
• Good product and process knowledge in the field of electronic components, especially in the area of power semiconductors (Si, SiC);
• Good knowledge in the fields of assembly and connection technology as well as technology and function of electronic components;
• Confident demeanour, determination, ability to work under pressure, creativity and flexibility;
• Very good written and spoken German and English
