Job Description

The department develops the SW for large scale embedded optical telecommunication systems. To support the needs of our customers we operate complex Asics and FPGAs, run SW in a embedded computer network of multicorte CPUs, we support our application teams with board support packages and a continuous integration tool-chain and SDE.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

As part of the team you will:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain the embedded software layer for innovative Nokia products.
  • Create detailed documentation for software development processes and key functionalities.
  • Collaborate closely with test and field support teams to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Assist project management with planning and scheduling, ensuring timely delivery of software milestones.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
  • Engage in cross-functional team discussions to explore new technologies and software solutions.
  • Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Grow your skills and advance your career by working alongside industry leaders and experts.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications, particularly L1-L3 transport technologies
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Professional experience in telecommunications (in particular L1-L3 transport technologies)
  • Structured and analytical problem-solving approach
  • Interest in working with international teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Fluency in German
