System administrator (m/f/d) IT infrastructure & server operation (Windows / Linux)

Your position in our crew

Nothing works without high-performance IT systems. As a new member of our infrastructure team, you will ensure that our IT system landscape functions reliably, securely and efficiently - in an international environment and with a direct link to cutting-edge maritime technology.

Your Tasks At a Glance

• You will operate, maintain and further develop our complex IT infrastructure - consisting of distributed Windows and Linux systems.
• Based on established standards (e.g. ITIL, BSI IT-Grundschutz), you will implement high-availability data centers with a focus on servers, storage solutions, backup and network-related services.
• With the help of central monitoring systems, you identify weak points and rectify faults before they become problems - so that all processes run smoothly.
• You will assist colleagues in technical support with infrastructural issues and develop sustainable solutions together.
• Your careful documentation of technical systems, processes and solutions helps to secure knowledge and make it accessible.
  
  

What you have in your luggage

• Completed IT training (IT specialist for system integration) or a degree in computer science, information or telecommunications technology
• Several years of professional experience in system administration, ideally with a focus on server and storage environments in heterogeneous infrastructures
• Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization solutions (VMware), TPM basic services, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
• Experience with administration within an environment that meets the requirements for the "VS-NfD" security level is helpful
• Experience with common hardware from HPE, Dell or Pure Storage is an advantage
• Good communication skills in German and English as well as a structured, solution-oriented way of working
• Enjoy working in a team, a strong sense of IT security - and the desire to operate systems reliably in the long term
