As a Senior Project MSL (Medical Science Liaison) at the national level, you act as the interface between clinical practice, medical research, and our internal departments such as Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Communication & Exchange: You develop scientific communication formats and share current information with medical thought leaders in preparation for a product launch
  • Relationship Management: You establish and maintain long-term relationships with physicians, scientists, and medical societies to position Bayer as a trusted partner
  • Project Coordination: You plan medical projects (e.g., training sessions, advisory boards) and collaborate closely with regional MSLs and Medical Advisors
  • Collaboration with Medical Advisors: You ensure the transfer of knowledge from the field into strategy and regularly align on how to support medical experts
  • Marketing & Sales: You serve as the point of contact for medical questions, share field insights, and support the development of training materials
  • Stakeholder Analysis: You identify relevant stakeholders and analyze the environment within the therapeutic area, including monitoring competitor activities
  • Knowledge Transfer: You train internal teams (e.g., sales) and represent the company as an expert at external conferences
  • Compliance: You adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal guidelines, ensuring accurate and responsible scientific communication

Who You Are

  • Academic Background: A degree in human medicine, pharmacy, or a natural science. A medical license or doctorate is a plus
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience as an MSL, ideally in a senior or project-based role. Experience in radiology is desirable
  • Scientific Competence: The ability to analyze publications and present complex data in an understandable way
  • Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills, with a confident presence at professional events
  • Project Management: Experience in cross-functional project work and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Digital Affinity: Proficiency with digital tools and platforms for efficient knowledge sharing
  • Initiative: A proactive, flexible working style with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Integrity: Responsible conduct, with strict adherence to SOPs and legal requirements
  • Willingness to Travel: High mobility (approximately 70% fieldwork) for assignments across the country
