Heidelberg University, Medical Faculty Mannheim, invites applications for a PhD position in Renal MRI Image Processing within the Department of Computer Assisted Clinical Medicine at the Mannheim Institute for Intelligent Systems in Medicine (MIISM). This interdisciplinary project aims to advance pre-clinical MRI techniques for investigating diabetic kidney disease and contribute to the development of personalized therapeutic strategies.
Requirements
– Master’s degree in Physics or a related discipline
– Strong theoretical and experimental background
– Willingness to work with animal models (Felasa-B certification or willingness to obtain it)
– Experience With MRI And Image Processing Is Preferred
– Interest in interdisciplinary and international research collaboration
Research Environment
– Collaborative team comprising physicists, engineers, computer scientists, and clinicians
– Access to advanced imaging facilities
– Partnerships with ZI Mannheim, DKFZ Heidelberg, and other European research centers
– Opportunities for international laboratory visits and specialized training
Start Date: As soon as possible
