IT Operations Specialist (m/f/d)

As an IT Operations Specialist, you are a member of the server team in central IT. With your specialist knowledge, you will ensure smooth IT operations and support our colleagues in setting up, updating and further developing our central systems worldwide.

• Management of the central VMware server farm and its systems
• 2nd and 3rd level support for internal IT queries
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of server systems and services at our locations worldwide
• Collaboration in the administration of the CENIT Group's Microsoft Cloud Services
• Ensuring secure IT operations through compliance with dedicated security requirements
• Supporting the specialist departments in setting up and operating specific server systems in accordance with their requirements
• Update management and implementation of release or patch level roll-outs in our server environment
• Collaboration on internal IT projects and the introduction of new technologies
• Documentation of IT processes and creation of instructions for the internal knowledge database
  
  

What you bring with you

• Completed training in the IT sector, e.g. as an IT specialist or comparable qualification
• Very good knowledge of common IT systems, server hardware and Windows Server 2019+ operating systems
• Good knowledge of managing virtual server environments, especially VMware
• Knowledge of the administration of Microsoft Cloud Services
• High level of problem-solving skills, customer orientation and willingness to take responsibility
• Enjoy solving technical problems and supporting colleagues
• High level of service orientation, reliability and a structured way of working
• Intrinsic motivation, flexibility and team player skills
• Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
