Urenco is an international provider of enrichment services and fuel cycle products to the nuclear industry, supplying utilities worldwide that generate low-carbon electricity through nuclear processes.

For the Group Procurement department we are looking for the next possible date for a:

Category Manager Core Process Technology (m/w/d)

In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of category management practices, drive the planning and

execution of critical category strategies, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with market trends.

You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category growth, effectiveness, efficiency

and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, exceptional

analytical skills, a proven track record of leading successful category strategies and demonstrated passion

for leading teams to successful outcomes.

What You Can Expect

• Category Vision and Strategy: Manage the development and execution of multi-year strategies based
  
  

on business and market intelligence, Urenco policies and Urenco-wide cross-functional buy-in from

stakeholders.

• Strategic Sourcing Alignment: Use agreed category strategies to maintain alignment with other teams,
  
  

continuously re-evaluating and improving Urenco procurement.

• Negotiation Strategy: Develop high-level negotiation strategies, organize procurement sourcing results,
  
  

and then communicate outcomes to senior management.

• Select appropriate suppliers by applying procurement process and policy expertise and market
  
  

intelligence

• Contracting: Understand industry contracting norms and Urenco contracting requirements.
  
  

Successfully facilitate negotiation of final contracts that achieve business goals. Assess risk

management to ensure value for Urenco

• Supplier Engagement: Proactively segment suppliers and utilizes engagement programs to improve
  
  

performance and achieve business goals aligned to category strategy objectives.

• Team management: Lead a team of 6 Senior Buyers and Buyers to deliver the annual Procurement
  
  

Plan through delivery of projects included in the category strategy and support to business partner

nominated projects to meet site needs. Develop the skills, capabilities, and performance of the team

through active and ongoing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.

What You Need To Bring

• A degree in procurement or supply chain management (or equivalent)
• 5 -10 years´ experience in category management
• Job experience in a global environment
• Experience of Team Leadership
