Senior Product Manager (m/f/d)

A senior-level B2B product manager experienced at strategy, discovery and delivery of highly technical data-intensive or IoT-based products in a cross-functional team setup

Your product area involves:

• Onboarding OEMs to enable the platform to read and process proprietary IoT data from machines manufactured by the OEMs that cannot be obtained otherwise
• Ingesting and processing IoT data from machines into the TALPA platform via hardware-based data loggers or via third-party APIs
• Detecting issues in the ingested data (e.g., due to faulty sensors in the machines) and informing those who can address those issues
• Managing users within the platform and their access to machine data
  
  

Your mission:

• Be responsible for the vision, strategy and long-term success of your product area
• Analyse market and technology trends in the Heavy industry and beyond
• Acquire a deep understanding of TALPA’s overall business strategy and business goals
• Negotiate, define, track and achieve product outcomes (i.e., leading measures of success that are based on user behaviour) that drive those business goals
• Drive product discovery activities related to your product area, working closely with a cross-functional team of product designer, frontend engineers, backend engineers, data engineers, data scientists and subject-matter experts
• Own the delivery roadmap for a product area, drive the delivery, release of those roadmap items, and lead the Marketing- and Sales-enablement activities for roadmap items
  
  

Your profile:

• You gained at least 5+ years of B2B product management experience
• You have a strong technical know-how and have experience managing complex data-intensive products powered by IoT
• You have the ability to explain highly technical topics in layman terms, and to effectively bridge technology-oriented teams to commercial-oriented teams
• You are an expert in agile methodologies, and are highly skilled at applying them to maximise the velocity and reliability of product releases
• You have demonstrated the ability to lead cross-functional team members towards a common goal and to influence them without authority over them
• You are proficient at product analytics and have demonstrated the ability to make data-informed product decisions
• You have excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience working closely with data engineers
• Experience working closely with data scientists and in building products powered by Machine Learning
• Experience in building or working closely with teams that build IoT hardware
• Experience in building complex user management workflows
• Experience in building the onboarding experience for users and in setting up IoT devices
• Experience working in high growth-startups before
• B2-level German skills or above
