Vice President (m/f/d) Innovation

The ideal candidate will be responsible for reinventing our innovation process, ensuring that innovative ideas are effectively translated into structured product increments and integrated into our product roadmap. This role manage cross-functional global teams, and facilitate the handover to the product management organization. The VP will play a crucial role in positioning our company as a pioneer in the pharmaceutical software market. The role requires very close collaboration with global customers, user groups, industry analysts, research institutes and federal health authorities.

• Reinvent Innovation Processes: Lead the transformation of our innovation framework to foster a culture of creativity and agility, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
• Ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently to support high-impact innovation initiatives.
• Leverage Cutting-Edge Technologies:** Integrate advanced technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing, into our software products to maintain our competitive edge and meet evolving customer demands.
• Drive Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to gather insights and feedback, ensuring our products are user-centric and effectively address market needs.
• Monitor Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of innovation initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
• Experience: Over 10 years of experience in leadership roles, with a strong focus on global team management in a highly regulated environment (preferably pharmaceutical, life sciences, or manufacturing).
• Proven Track Record: Outstanding, proven track record in designing, implementing, and developing innovation porcesses, to support the delivery of innovative solutions on time and within budget.
• Global Leadership: Experience in influencing distributed teams across multiple global locations. Influencing peer organisations (without direct leadership authority). Expertise in managing cultural differences and aligning teams towards common goals and utilizing own teammembers in the best possible way to joint success.
• Innovation Expertise: Deep understanding of innovation processes and it’s scientivic backgrounds, especially on culture, psychological safety and other innvodation critical preconditions.
• Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen: Ability to balance strategic development goals with business objectives, ensuring that products are not only innovative but also profitable and aligned with customer needs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with product management, corporate functions, and other business units to ensure alignment of innovation efforts with overall company strategy and customer expectations.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership skills with experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Education: A relevant Master's degree, a MBA is a plus.
• Languages: Proficiency in English is required; fluent in German is a big plus.
