The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

About The Role

• Lead of the mechanical design team within the series development of cells
• Responsible for the mechanical design of series development cells for various cell projects from the concept phase to industrialization
• Responsible for mechanical design approvals and mechanical component approvals
• Definition of product and mechanical sub-component requirements based on customer specifications, taking into account functional safety, quality, current state of the art and future trends
• Ensuring design and functionality using mechanical and thermal simulation tools
• Definition, calculation and approval of cells and their components based on tolerance analyses and thermomechanical stress tests
• Responsible for BMG and B release of subcomponent
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
• Leadership experience
• Professional experience in battery cell production
• Good communication skills in an international and intercultural environment - Willingness to travel internationally
• Business fluent in English
