bunch is building the backbone of private markets, combining exceptional expertise, operational excellence, and frictionless technology. The platform enables funds and private investors to set up and manage their investment entities seamlessly and securely.

To expand our core team, we're seeking a highly motivated and strategic Head of M&A and Corporate Development professional who wants to play a pivotal role in growing our business and revolutionizing the private markets.

How The Role Contributes To Our Vision

We automate the back-office of funds end-to-end and store their data in our system of records by building:

  • A database that stores all private market data points in one place
  • Tools to seamlessly fill this database
  • Processes and automation to provide Private Market actors with their desired outputs

We leverage AI features across the data input and output tools to deal with unstructured data. To scale our business even faster, we follow a growth buyout plan. It means we will build software to automate the funds' back-office operations. Instead of using traditional go-to-market strategies (outbound enterprise sales), we also want to use M&A. You will be the leader who will ensure the success of our growth buyout plan across Europe and further.

Why M&A

Traditionally, fund administration is a sticky business that is complex and difficult to change. There is a high need for trust and reputation and limited urgency to get new tools. M&A helps to solve these market characteristics by:

  • Buying customer contracts and client relationships
  • Growing decades of experience and logos to point to
  • Plan our growth by timing acquisitions

We plan to make a significant number of acquisitions in the next three years across different geographies (Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, UK, and RoW). We are in the final stages of finalizing the first acquisition of a Luxembourg–based fund admin and are already in deep discussions regarding the next targets.

As you can imagine, there will be a significant effort in migrating the newly acquired targets, first operationally onto our infrastructure and then culturally into our company and teams.

Top Responsibilities

You will manage the end-to-end M&A lifecycle—from market mapping and sourcing through diligence and negotiation, deal execution and handover, and integration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations and understands the nuances of services businesses being transformed through technology.

Strategy & Sourcing

  • Identify and evaluate fund administration firms that align with our strategic roadmap.
  • Develop market maps and segment analyses to guide geographic and product expansion.
  • Build relationships with founders, bankers, brokers, and intermediaries to generate deal flow.

Diligence & Analysis

  • Lead commercial diligence efforts, including revenue mix, customer base, and process complexity.
  • Work with product and integration teams to assess operational and technical fit.
  • Model financial scenarios (valuation, earn-outs, cost synergies) and support deal structuring.

Deal Execution

  • Drive transaction timelines and manage internal/external stakeholders (e.g., legal, finance).
  • Support negotiation and finalization of terms.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel on documentation, regulatory, and compliance matters.

Integration Handoff

  • Ensure a clean transition to the integration team with clear context, risks, and strategic intent.
  • Capture post-close learnings and feed them back into the M&A playbook.

You will work closely with the Founders and our PMI Lead to ensure that every acquisition is not just a good deal but the right fit for long-term value creation through automation.

What You Should Bring To The Table

  • 5–8+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity
  • Strong strategic and financial modeling skills
  • Experience evaluating or operating B2B services or financial technology businesses
  • Bonus: familiarity with fund administration or regulated financial services
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced, global environment

What Your Interview Journey Will Look Like
