The Technical Project Manager (TPM) Software will be an expert in developing scalable software applications to achieve Goodyear CheckPoint objectives. This role involves leading a team to set and meet project goals while managing a portfolio of initiatives. The TPM will have a deep understanding of cutting-edge software design, development, and prototyping techniques, and will guide the organization in implementing these techniques. They will proactively identify potential issues and propose mitigation solutions, prioritizing strategies that best meet business needs. Additionally, the TPM will foster a collaborative environment across teams, functions, and divisions globally, bringing clarity to ambiguous problems through divergent and convergent thinking.

Role Overview
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) Software will be an expert in developing scalable software applications to achieve Goodyear CheckPoint objectives. This role involves leading a team to set and meet project goals while managing a portfolio of initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead the algorithm development team, responsible for developing algorithms for Goodyear CheckPoint.
- Maintain existing software components and develop new ones.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, data platforms, system integration, and quality teams, to schedule and monitor development planning and ensure projects meet specifications.
- Provide technical guidance to the team for problem resolution.
- Ensure timely corrective actions.
- Implement projects within budget and quality requirements.
- Coordinate technical tasks for projects with other departments and suppliers, keeping stakeholders informed through regular reports, meetings, and clear communication.
- Develop according to ISO 9001, following our processes, contribute to yearly audits.
- Self-motivated, independent, and dedicated with strong communication and presentation skills in English.
- Thrives in a highly cross-functional environment and has a strong willingness to learn.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology, including frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and the ability to apply Agile principles to manage projects effectively.
- Proficiency in programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python, SQL.
- Experience with C# and/or Spring Boot and/or Matlab is a plus.
- Experience with web services is a plus.
- Knowledge of standard libraries like STL, MFC, Boost, OpenCV, NumCpp
- Experience with revision control systems like GIT, GitHub, SVN.
- Experience in systems requirements engineering, project management methods, tools such as Microsoft Project, Polarion, Jira, or quality centers, or general development processes is a plus.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Understanding of release processes and regression testing.
- Hardware integration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or systems engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in team management.
