Summary

We are looking for a “System Engineer Fighter Radar (Functional System Design) (f/m/d)” for the “Airborne Radar System Definition & Support” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The “Airborne Radar System Definition & Support” department is responsible for the technical system support of existing airborne radar systems for flying platforms such as Eurofighter Typhoon, Panavia Tornado or NFH Sea Lion. The department also carries out systems engineering for the planning and design of future airborne radar systems, provides technical support for the acquisition of new development projects and manages the technical implementation of these projects.

The tasks of the systems department are characterized by interdisciplinary approaches, close contact with national and international customers and users as well as scientific research institutions and cooperation partners.

Your Tasks

• Analysis of the system design, especially the built-in test requirements at radar system level and derivation of a built-in test concept for a sub-system
• Responsibility for creating and maintaining a built-in test concept at sub-system level and its documentation
• Interdisciplinary coordination of the built-in test concept with relevant stakeholders (specialist development, specialist groups (e.g. Safety, RMT), customers)
• Responsibility for concepts for error handling, error classification and error filtering
• Technical support of the implementation work by appropriate hardware, software and firmware groups
• Support validation and verification activities for the concept
• Support in qualitative and quantitative evaluation of "failure modes"
  
  

Your Profile

• Completed studies (master's) in the field of electrical engineering, physics or comparable
• Many years of experience in systems engineering
• Experience with MBSE (Model based Systems Engineering, especially Rhapsody)
• Knowledge of radar system design beneficial
• Independent, goal-oriented and structured working method
• Willingness to work in an interdisciplinary way
• Strong team skills and customer orientation
• Commitment
• Fluent in German and good English skills
