The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. In this, the tasks and requirements of the Product Management are varied. The unit is responsible for all activities relating to the development and industrialization of battery cells. Responsibilities range from the preparation of technology roadmaps and portfolio planning to volume and cycleplan planning and the holistic program management for global battery projects.

How you will CELLebrate
- Developing of an innovative deposition process for solid-state batteries
- Practical laboratory working on test benches at the university
- Modifying and conversion of test benches
- Coordinating of an academic partner network in Germany for material and component characterization
- Managing of external partners in the development project (mechanical engineering, simulation, etc.)
- Assumpting of technical responsibility to ensure individual project goals
- Evaluating and preparing of technical decision templates
The doctorate will take place in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth.
What you need for our CELLebration
- Good to very good academic degree with the qualification for a doctorate in mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics or a related technical/scientific field
- Proven focus on fluid mechanics during your studies
- Basic knowledge of materials science or batteries is an advantage
- Enjoyment of technical work and laboratory work
- High level of teamwork and initiative
- Communication and cooperation skills with business partners
- Fluency in English
- Hands-on mentality
- High flexibility
- Willingness to travel and commute every week or two weeks between Salzgitter/Braunschweig and the university
- It is a three-year doctoral program in which the doctoral students work on internal tasks of PowerCo in addition to their doctorate
- It is an industrial doctorate
- 35-hour week, flexible working hours
