The purpose of this role
Role
First of all, this is not a classical "specialist" job. We're currently running with only one team. No departments, no line of reports, no "managing". Just 6 people, trying to work things out. This special situation makes it inevitable that every role currently joining must be able to think and operate within three contexts, almost like a Co-Founder (you actually will take on 3 jobs):

- Specialist Context: Fulfilling role-specific tasks in a professional way.
- Product Context: Thinking constantly about how to apply your skills to actually create a valuable product for our users.
- Business Context: Critically self-managing and prioritizing, only taking on projects that actually drive the company closer to its goals.

That’s why we generally hire with the following principles in mind (in order of prioritization):
- Only great human beings. By this we not only mean if you are a generally nice person (although that's one big point) but if you're a very good communicator, highly self-reflected, humble and your heart's in the right place... The question we ask ourselves here to assess this is: "Would we be intrigued to go on a vacation with you?".
- Only if this feels it could be more than just a job for you. Reading our mission and pulling things off the ground in a super small and super fast environment should get you very excited. Joining us should almost feel like your calling. If one of us will not feel this to be a 100% "Hell Yes" decision, than we probably won't team up. Our challenging question here is: "Does this opportunity excite you so much, that the salary almost becomes irrelevant?" (not that we would pay bad salaries ;)
- Only with a few people that checked 1 and 2, we will start investigate the "hard skills" and talent. You have to have an entrepreurial mindset with the ability and motivation to solve problems you're weren't prepared for. An on the other side you need to have extraordinary "specialist" skills, being able to deliver results and move projects forward in a super efficient and professional way.

- You are a mature and self-reflected human being. You are a passionate and purpose-driven person. You do things because you love them to do. Work for you is more than just a job.
- You consider yourself a pro and you expect the people around you to be the same, forming an excellent, high-performing team that delivers fast results
- You bias to action. You care about getting your hands dirty, taking on big bets and delivering results instead of talking hours about "what-ifs".
- You are willing and able to take over a huge amount of responsibility and you have an ambitious drive to move things forward. Ideally you're experienced in founding something or having pulled of a business off the ground in a fast-paced environment.
- You're an extraordinary communicator. Direct and honest. You like to receive feedback candidly and don't have a problem expressing your opinion in a round of other stakeholders.
- You love delighting, high quality products, no quick scams. Revenue doesn't necessarily happy, but happy retaining customers do.
- You are an extraordinary designer with a knack for outstanding niche brands
- You are an experienced, multi-faceted Designer, able and eager to create UI Designs for a Consumer Mobile App that lead to a better user experience
- You are generally good with Graphic Design and have been involved producing graphics for all kinds of marketing purposes
- You are into running and empathetic for the needs of someone who regularly runs
